On the Wednesday Evening of 1975 April 2, the Alternative Curriculum Astronomy Workshop of The Tripoli Federation visited Pittsburgh's original Buhl Planetarium and Institute of Popular Science. Between 9:30 and 10:00 p.m. they viewed the planet Saturn, Buhl Planetarium's Astronomical Observatory, utilizing Buhl's primary telescope: 10-inch Siderostat-type Refractor Telescope (sometimes referred to as the "Heliostat" or the "Siderostat"). Observing Saturn was not possible after 10:00 p.m., as the sky clouded considerably at that time. Prior to the astronomical observing, the group attended the Planetarium Sky Show, "Cygnus X-1."

The following digital images record the subsequent report of this visit --
